　　親愛的同志們,

　　m姐剛剛結(jié)束了uc的phone interview：very nice and friendly, only general questions about my cv. 0% of technical questions. decision will be available around the end of this year.

　　背景先：某外國語大學(xué)(非211)2011屆 商務(wù)英語專業(yè) t109, g720+5, ieils7.5,gpa3.4。

　　在校小創(chuàng)業(yè)兩次。其中一次做了網(wǎng)站(但不是我做的,編程神馬的一竅不通)。成績總是三等獎(jiǎng)。各種金融證券相關(guān)的證書, sign~~我是申mis的。500強(qiáng)外企女民工一年——it桌面支持(中英文)。剛辭職,轉(zhuǎn)學(xué)入家里蹲大學(xué)。

　　好多人對uc不了解,他家的項(xiàng)目個(gè)人認(rèn)為非常不錯(cuò)。edulix上面信息非常全面,我摘抄一下：

　　common q&a: (這是最新的q&a,uc官網(wǎng)上也有別的q&a)

　　1. gpa - enter 0.0, if your university didnt had gpa system.

　　2. lors - if 3 then preferably 2 from your work place and 1 from academic. if 2 then 1 from each.

　　3. toefl scores - enter your true scores notwithstanding what input options you have on the appl. page. enter your ibt scores.

　　4. financial docs not required to be send along with packet. you will have the option of uploading it online once you get an admit.

　　5. application packet - sealed transcripts and a xerox copy of attested degree certificate/provisional degree certificate. send only the docs which are asked.

　　6. interviews - just be yourself. project your strengths.

　　7. decisions - 1st deadline is 15th nov, if am correct, so expect decisions once interviews for all those who applied in first round are completed. it was 14th dec, last time around.

　　關(guān)于uc advantages -

　　if you dont want to lose touch with the technical side of things much. this is the course for you.

　　large array of technology related credits to choose from.

　　internships almost guaranteed

　　faculty, career services active in helping with internships, placements.

　　97% placements.

　　sap experts paradise.

　　is dept has very good relationships with companies

　　no competition with cs grads

　　class is small fall 2010, 33 students. strictly only about 50% are international students. (去年是45個(gè)左右,中國人只有三個(gè))

　　cost is reasonable.

　　wise and reasonable in extending admits. when you see each admitted profile, you yourself will notice that the profile had a little "something" which helped it make it to uc.

　　uc downside -

　　if youre more interested towards the management track. wrong course!

　　uc is known for sap. for other career tracks, it is not that well known.

　　not many big names amongst post mis jobs.

　　less freshers.

　　does not appear to be high on rankings. i will double check on this.

　　他家的co-op(帶薪實(shí)習(xí))幾乎是100%,因?yàn)樽詍sis項(xiàng)目存在以來只有一個(gè)人沒有找到co-op的實(shí)習(xí)。整個(gè)項(xiàng)目是4 quarters課程,2-3 quarters的帶薪實(shí)習(xí),平均能賺20k+。。quarter不等于semester,一個(gè)quarter大概十周。
